8+ years of experience working with Java applications and services that utilize the Spring Framework and operate via AWS services, particularly EC2, Lambda, EventBridge, and EKS. I also have extensive experience building user interfaces with Vue.js.
I have a variety of leadership experience, including mentoring junior engineers and managing interns. In my current job, I am on a cross-platform architecture team that establishes best practices and drives engineering excellence across the company.

Began my career as a Software Engineer at Securian Financial in St. Paul, MN. Responsible for building and maintaining Java applications.
Promoted to Senior Software Engineer at Securian Financial. Increased responsibility for architecting and designing applications and creating technical documentation.
Obtained the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud Practitioner certification. Responsible for leading migrations of Securian Financial's applications from on-prem to various AWS services.
Nominated by my teammates and manager at Securian Financial to be a member of a cross-platform architecture team with responsibilities of being a team liasson, and deciding on best architecture practices across the division.
